Case history: asthma

Barnaby

Barnaby's parents were keen to be proactive in ensuring they were doing everything they could for their son's asthma.

A combination of eczema and food allergies as well as his asthma had placed greater demands on his immune system, making Barnaby a good candidate for osteopathic treatment.

His parents first brought him to see Chris when he was 3 years old. The gentle techniques Chris used were geared towards stimulating his own self healing mechanisms, and reducing unhelpful tissue tensions to assist his lungs in functioning more normally.

Barnaby's asthma is controlled predominantly with homeopathy, and supported by cranial osteopathy. He doesn't have inhalers or steroids and instead uses homeopathic remedies.

"Our experience with Chris was positive from the off. I really feel that the osteopathy strengthens Barnaby's system. He doesn't have many acute attacks at all now, but when he does, if he's not recovering so well afterwards, I'll whizz him along to Chris for a treatment."
