Is it safe?

Osteopathic treatment is an extremely safe and natural approach to health care which works with the body's own health and repair mechanisms.

Osteopathy is a recognized health profession, and has the same safeguards that you would enjoy if you visited a doctor or a dentist.

What does treatment feel like?

Osteopathic treatment is gentleOsteopathic treatment is gentle and does not have to cause pain or discomfort. Some approaches are so soothing that the strongest sensation is of warmth, relaxation and tension being drawn out of the body.

How much will it cost?

Depending on which osteopath you see, your appointment will cost £35 - £45. Please see our price list for further details.

A Newborn Check for babies up to three weeks old is free of charge.

 

How long will I need to wait for an appointment?

We can normally offer same day appointments for acute or emergency cases - please phone first thing in the morning to check availability for that day. For less urgent cases, you may need to wait a day or two; we will always do what we can to see you as soon as possible.

How many treatments will I need?

Your osteopath will discuss this with you at your first appointment. Typically, an adult might need 4-6 sessions over a period of several weeks, unless your condition is more severe or chronic.
Babies and children usually need no more than three or four sessions to see real improvement.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

Although many GPs recommend osteopathy to their patients, you do not need a referral from your GP to make an appointment.

Can I claim on my private medical insurance?

Chris is registered with BUPA, PPP healthcare, Westfield and other similar schemes. Mandy is registered with Westfield. Please check details of your cover with your insurer.
