Homeopathy for adults, babies and children

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is one of the most popular and highly respected complementary medicines. It is a holistic system of healing, based on the interconnection between mind and body.

Treatment is tailored to your needs as an individual, and the medicines (known as remedies) are given in a minimum dose to act as a catalyst, stimulating your body's own extraordinary powers of recovery.

Who can benefit?

Homeopathy is a gentle, effective therapy which is suitable for all ages.

In babies, homeopathy can be successfully used to treat a wide range of conditions including teething trouble, colic and nappy rash.

Children can benefit from treatment for a range of childhood conditions, including ear infections, tonsillitis, allergies and ADHD.

Mums to be and new mums often choose homeopathy to help with conditions relating to pregnancy and breastfeeding.

For adults, homeopathy can successfully treat a wide range of conditions and illnesses, from sore throats and fevers to anxiety and depression. It can be particularly helpful for chronic and recurring conditions, including arthritis, eczema, migraine, IBS, menstrual and menopausal problems, and prostate problems.

What to expect

Your first visit to see your homeopath will last about 90 minutes and it takes the form of a conversation. As well as discussing what has brought you for treatment, John will ask you lots of questions to get an understanding of what it's like to be you. By taking a full case history in this way, the homeopath treats the full picture of you, rather than concentrating on your symptoms in isolation. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence.

The homeopath will usually need some time to find the right remedy for you, so in most cases a remedy will be sent to you by post.
