Meet the team
Chris Johnson, DO, MScPO
Registered Osteopath
Chris is the practice Principal. He originally qualified as a nurse in Sheffield in 1984, and soon after that, suffered a back injury lifting a patient. The osteopathic treatment that he received at the time inspired him to undertake the four year training to become an osteopath himself.
He now has seventeen years experience since he qualified, which has included a three year stint in New Zealand. He has been based in Sheffield for over ten years.
Alongside his work with adults, Chris has a particular interest in cranial osteopathy for babies and children, and holds an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy. He also works as a trainee tutor at the Osteopathic Centre for Children.
Chris is married to Naomi, and they have a one year old son, Theo.
Mandy Redmond, BSc
Registered Osteopath
Mandy is an associate osteopath at the Practice. Before moving into osteopathy, she enjoyed working in the field of online learning.
She first experienced osteopathic treatment following a fall in 1998, and was so impressed with the treatment she received that she decided to train as an osteopath herself, at the London School of Osteopathy, where she qualified in 2006.
Mandy has a particular interest in osteopathy for mums-to-be, and new mums, as part of our Pregnancy Clinic.
She is also very happy to treat dads, grandmas, grandads, aunts and uncles, and often sees several generations of the same family!
Mandy and her partner Angus have a one year old son, Ben.
Valerie Rose and Jude Eller
Practice Managers
Valerie and Jude share the role of Practice Manager, and they are more than likely to be the first people you meet when you visit the Practice. As well as welcoming patients, and keeping the rest of us organised, they both do amazing work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
Away from the Practice, Val is kept very busy looking after her extensive family. When she gets a rare moment to herself, she enjoys snuggling up with a good book. She also tries her hand at writing and has had several short stories and poems published.
Val lives with husband John and two of their boys John and William, who are back home after University, and are showing no signs of leaving just yet!
When Jude's not here, she runs her own thriving therapy practice as a qualified hypnotherapist, life coach and neuro linguistic programming practitioner. In her spare time, she works as a reading mentor at her local primary school with children in Year 6, helping them develop their reading skills. She also bakes incredibly good chocolate cake.
Jude lives in Meersbrook with her partner Paul, their young son George and two boisterous family cats Ruby and Fleur.
