What is osteopathy? And what is cranial osteopathy?
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is an extremely effective but gentle form of therapy that relieves pain by improving the function of the body as a whole.
Osteopathic medicine has a history of over 125 years. It is a complete system of medical care founded on the philosophy of treating the whole person. Osteopathy is complementary to mainstream medicine.
Osteopathy is suitable for all the family, and can provide relief from the symptoms of a wide range of conditions.
Cranial osteopathy
Cranial osteopathy is a very gentle and effective form of treatment which uses very subtle manipulative pressure to encourage the release of stresses throughout the body, including the head. It is particularly helpful in allowing the body to recover or ‘settle’ following any injury or trauma, including birth trauma for both mother and baby.
This form of osteopathy is suitable for all ages, and as it is so gentle, it is particularly appropriate for children and babies straight from birth.
